Same same, but different!

Dear GRI Members,

Well, I was thinking that for many of you, this will be your first time to Malaysia (maybe even your first time to Asia!). So I figured that I would throw together a rough guide to the country and to the city, so that we all know what to expect :)

How different is Asia from the rest of the world? Well, as they say in IndoChina, we are all “same same, but different.” Our climate is different. Our food is different. Our culture and customs are different. And while you can expect quite a bit of the Western fusion in our side of the world, this is Asia. And it’s going to be pretty hard not to notice.
